The CREG

Our Organization

The Executive Committee

The CREG is managed by an Executive Committee composed of a President and three (3) Directors (members) appointed by presidential decree, upon the proposal of the Minister in charge of energy.
The Executive Committee has the broadest powers to act on behalf of the Regulatory Commission and to authorize all acts and operations related to its mission.

The Conciliation Service

Within the Regulatory Commission, a Conciliation Service is established to handle disputes arising from the implementation of regulations, particularly those related to network access, tariffs, and operator remuneration.

The Arbitration Chamber

Within the Regulatory Commission, a body called the “Arbitration Chamber” is established. At the request of one of the parties, it rules on disputes that may arise between operators, except those concerning contractual rights and obligations.
The Arbitration Chamber consists of three (3) members, including the Chairperson, and three (3) alternates appointed by the Minister in charge of energy for a renewable six (6)-year term, as well as two (2) magistrates designated by the Minister of Justice.

The Advisory Council

An advisory body called the “Advisory Council” is established within the Regulatory Commission. It is composed of two (2) representatives from the relevant ministerial departments and all interested parties (operators, consumers, and workers).
It provides opinions on the activities of the Executive Committee and on strategic orientations of energy policy in the electricity and gas distribution sectors.
The Executive Committee participates in the work of the Advisory Council.
