State Support

As part of the state’s policy to support the populations of the South, a reduction on electricity consumption has been adopted for low and medium voltage customers in the following “13” wilayas:

South:  Adrar, Laghouat, Biskra, Béchar, Tamanrasset, Ouargla, Illizi, Tindouf, El Oued et Ghardaïa.
High Plateaus:  Djelfa, El Bayadh et Naâma.

For the Southern Regions

For this state aid, two levels of support have been identified:

0%

Reduction

For low-voltage household subscribers and farmers using low and medium voltage, with a consumption limit of 12,000 kWh/year, in accordance with the provisions of Article 137 of Law No. 16-14 of 28 Rabie El Aouel 1438 (corresponding to December 28, 2016) concerning the 2017 finance law.

The quantity exceeding 12,000 kWh will be calculated at the regular price in effect.

Reduction

For low and medium voltage subscribers engaged in economic activities other than agriculture, with a consumption limit of 200,000 kWh/year, in accordance with the provisions of Article 137 of Law No. 16-14 of 28 Rabie El Aouel 1438 (corresponding to December 28, 2016) concerning the 2017 finance law.

The quantity exceeding 200,000 kWh will be calculated at the regular price in effect.

For the three wilayas: Djelfa, El Bayadh et Naâma

For low and medium voltage subscribers, in accordance with Interministerial Instruction No. 02 of August 7, 2001, regarding the reduction of electricity billing in the southern wilayas.
